• Friday – April 23rd
Spent most of the day getting things together for Thunderbeach, Panama City. I had one bag packed and Diletta had FOUR! I am leaving for just about the rest of the year and she was packed for one week. Imagine that!! I think she had everything including “the bathroom sink”. At 2:30PM sharp we hit the road. We made it all the way to Phoenix City, AL and a big red light came on in the truck – trouble ahead…. We had lost the air which works the brakes. After spending two hours in the K-mart parking lot, Taco Bell for dinner and Roadside service working on the truck we pulled out and continued on our journey. We arrived at the Pine Glen RV park around 11:30PM. Bob and Katie (owners) along with Allen Davis (Ice cream vendor) were waiting and guided us into our spot. Needless to say we slept well. Our 6 hour trip turned into 9 hours.
• Saturday – April 24th
Guess it is something about being on vacation… even after a long day on Friday we were up at 7:30AM having coffee. The weather was not the best but we made the best of it. Had breakfast with our friend Allen and Laurie Davis (ice cream vendor). Relaxed and watched some TV. Expected rain pretty much all day but we did bite the bullet and chanced it - took a quick motorcycle ride over to Frank Brown park to visit our ice cream friends and watch a little bit of the horse show taking place. We never did get wet but we sure did think we were going to. When the thunder started and the wind picked up pretty bad we decided to head back to the truck.

• Sunday – April 25th
Met a young man who had a fruit stand not far down the road from the campsite when we were moving to on the beach. There was an empty lot there which is where he let us drop the trailer. Served as a great bill board on Front Beach Road. We pulled into the campsite and set everything up and of course you know… Diletta hit the pool immediately.
Rode the bikes and had a really nice dinner at Captains Anderson’ with Laurie and Allen.
• Monday – 26th
Were on the bikes most of the day and stopped by Harry’s- a nice little beach Bar and Grill- for lunch and watched the Nascar race.

• Tuesday – April 27th
Had breakfast in the morning then went for a motorcycle ride. Had to have some oysters so we stopped at Shuckhem’s – and they were wonderful. Of course Diletta ate the most. It was only 11:00am but she was determined to get some before they were all gone! Then we went to the beach for a little and laid out in the clouds. Got a little chilly so we headed back to the truck and Diletta went to the pool for the afternoon. We found out we could go ahead and move the truck to the vendor area at Frank Brown so we went and picked up the trailer and headed that way. It was nice and cool so Diletta and I got the canopy all set up so we could play on Wednesday. We were too tired to go out and eat… so Bubba burgers it was and man were they good! Diletta turned her head for a split second and Kota decided he wanted one… not a good thing! He had mayonnaise from one ear to the other. Guess that will teach her not to leave her plate unattended.
• Wednesday - Aril 28th
Almost a week without Waffle House so we took care of that and had a great breakfast this morning. Got a few things to do then we are headed to the beach.

• Thursday – April 29th
The bikers came in early and I was surprised at amount of people to come on a Thursday. It was the biggest Thursday that I had had in a long time. A long day but we decided to go and see a great band called Mustang Sally which turned out to be a great night.
• Friday – April 30th
This morning was just like Thursday with a great turnout until around 1:00 pm when the bottom fell out and it rained all afternoon into the night. Later that evening we all went to the Boar’s Head a nice restaurant where I had shrimp and oysters. Glad I got them before the oil slick made the price go crazy.
• Saturday- May 1st
It was overcast but the bikers came and had a great day. I got a picture of a baby grizzly bear on the 104+® mower. The motorcycle stunt show was right next door which drew a great crowd three times a day. The complex was full of bikes and I think I talked to all of them about all the great Gold Eagle products appropriate for their bikes. That night we went down to the fish house and had a nice dinner and also “shook a leg” in the bar there. Diletta still has it and I was just trying to keep up.
• Sunday- May 2nd
It was pretty slow on Sunday and we tore down early afternoon. Made it to Phoenix City, Alabama where we stopped at Applebee’s and had a burger. Made it home around 9:30PM and got unloaded so I could leave the next morning for Rhode Island.
I was asked if our STA-BIL brand Marine formula would help the popping of an engine after it was filled with fuel. Customer thought it was related to ethanol blended fuel. I told him that if it had water in it that the Marine Formula would help remove the water and I also told him about the Iso-HEET brand was great for water removal. Another biker with water issues got some marine formula to put in his fuel. A STA-BIL user said “thanks” for all that we do. A lady that had just bought a new boat was asking how to maintain her boat so I told her about the Marine Formula and how to use it. A STA-BIL user said he tried Seafoam and his engine would not start so he went back to STA-BIL and will try the Marine Formula. Many were interested in the new STA-BIL for diesels and said they would try it.
Several comments on how well the HEET brand removed water from their fuel. Some were boaters and others were guys with water in the fuel of their bikes. They were interested in the Marine Formula to remove water and I told them the difference between the Iso-HEET water remover and STA-BIL. I dosed several bikes with the new Iso-HEET that said they had water in their fuel and told them about the new formula that contains a strong fuel injector cleaner.
The guys with the older bikes were interested in the engine NO LEAK brand product as they tend to have more leaks. I gave a bottle to a guy with an oil leak and a bottle to one with a transmission leak. They said they would let me know how well NO LEAK worked for them.
I had several bikers come by and say they used our 104+ Performance Additives brand in their bikes and one said he has used another brand that was in a small bottle that he got at a motorcycle shop. Several asked about a smaller container for the motorcycles. A customer with a big 130 cubic in. uses 104+ to help his engine run good. Another that uses 104+ said he liked the feeling he gets out of his bike. Several that said their bike was running rough after they had bought gas in the area brought their bikes by and I gave them a does of 104+. I ended up going through 5 bottles treating bikes.
An owner of a new Duramax was looking for better fuel mileage so we talked about the DieselPower! brand Performance Improver. Several guys were telling me how they didn’t get as good of fuel mileage as they used to. A trucker that was worried about the ultra low sulfur liked what he heard about DieselPower! and wanted to try some. Several were asking about a stabilizer for their diesels and some asked about a biocide to stop the algae so we talked about the new STA-BIL for Diesels and how it helps prevent the algae from growing.
We had a great spot at Frank Brown park which was almost twice as big as last year. There were lots of activities going on so we had lots of traffic all day long. The weather was great for the whole show. I had many customers that had seen me at other events come by to chat and I must have started the 104+ mower a hundred times. When I started the mower I consistently drew a large crowd. Mike, with the Thunder Beach production staff, was very helpful and was grateful that we were there. One guy said that the mowers were the coolest thing he saw at the whole event. I talked a lot about 104+ Octane Boost but the Marine Formula STA-BIL was the most talked about. Many came by to say they had bad gas in their tanks and wanted to know what to use.
A great event with traffic all day long. They had a record crowd not only at our location but for the whole event in Panama City. I did get some riding done in the evening with Diletta and Donnie Cook who helped me tear down.
Until next time!
