From Mobile, Alabama I went home for a couple of days which was nice but I had to replace the radiator on the truck's generator. It was so hot during the day that I waited until night time to install it. I picked up the Start Your Engines!® wheelie machine and headed toward Racine, Wisconsin which was a fourteen hour drive.
I stopped by Ken Jones' house in Granville, Illinois on Thursday evening and stayed the night with Sandy and Ken. Made it to Racine on Friday and parked in the pits with all the jet skis and wave runners. Had a big storm that night which rocked the truck and trailer. Saturday was a great day with the event going smoothly and a great crowd showing up to watch. There were around one hundred racers from all around the country that put on a great show. They had several classes and a freestyle competition also. Sunday was as nice as Saturday with a good crowd showing up for the finals.
I was introduced to all the racers and told them each one would get a bottle of either STA-BIL® or 104+® to take home with them. Several of the racers work at dealerships and came by to tell me about the problems that they have with fuel. Most of them said they have been telling their customers to use the Marine Formula STA-BIL to help prevent the corrosion and water build up. Other said they use the 104+ as the fuel they used didn’t have the power it used to. I talked to many people that were telling me about how well our products work and thanked me for being there.
I got many comments about the STA-BIL brand products with most being about treating ethanol fuel. Several of the comments were about how bad they are seeing carburetors eaten up with corrosion and how soon it happens. We talked about how STA-BIL has corrosion inhibitors and water removers to help prevent these problems. Most all of the comments were about how they use STA-BIL for all their stored fuels. I told them how the Marine Formula STA-BIL work for their every day needs as it kept the water out of the system and helped with keeping the fuel system clean.
I talked with boaters about having water problems and told them about using the HEET brand to help get major water out of their tanks. I told them the Iso-HEET® worked well on removing water plus it had a great cleaner for their system.
I gave a couple of the NO LEAK brand bottles out to guys that talked about having leaks in their transmissions and engines. I told them how NO LEAK works by swelling out the gaskets and softening the rubber seals and o-rings.
I had questions about how the AlumAseal brand worked if they had radiator leaks. I gave some tubes out and also had several saying that they had used AlumAseal in the past and were happy with how well it works.
The 104+ Octane Boost brand was popular as several of the racers used it. They used it in their cars, boats, and trucks. They know they are not getting the power out of today’s fuel and are bumping it back to what they need. I was telling them about the new Power Sport 104+ octane boost and they thought it was a good idea. I will have it at the next event and will give the guys a bottle to try.
Several of these guys have diesels pulling their rigs and also use diesels on their job sits. They were interested in the DieselPower! brand cetane boost and were concerned about their fuel sitting for a long period of time. I told them how we had come out with the STA-BIL for diesels to help prevent the algae growth due to the water removers and that it will also lube their system. They talked about losing fuel mileage and having trouble with the injectors. I told them how DieselPower! lubed, cleaned, and adds performance which would give them better fuel mileage.
I had questions on the Start Your Engines! brand product and many were very interested in using it when they had another problem with starting or a bad running engine.
Thanks to AJ with the IJSBA for letting me display. He also said he would be looking for to me at Lake Hartwell in Georgia.
With a perfect weekend of weather and a big crowd the event turned out very good.
Please join me at Nostalgia Days, June 24-26 in Zion, IL. (http://www.nostalgiadays.com/)
