Bassmaster Classic - Feb. 18-20 - New Orleans, Louisiana

Hi Y'all!

I arrived in New Orleans that Tuesday afternoon to set up.  Thanks to my friend James Brown for helping me lay down the carpet and set up the mowers and booth. Show started Friday morning and traffic was pretty steady most of the day. Saturday was very busy from the start. The convention center was about 2 miles away from the weigh–in, so most of the traffic cleared out mid-afternoon. Sunday morning was very busy. Several promoters, magazines, and fishing organizations came by to talk with Jennifer about sponsorships.

The main theme and questions I got on STA-BIL at this show was many people coming up and asking about Ethanol, and about the introduction of E-15 and if we are coming out with a new product to help with it, or if our current ones will still work. These boaters are a lot more educated on Ethanol issues than at most shows. Most came up to tell us they won’t run their boat without it, and use it religiously. A lot of people are learning the hard way that they need to use the Marine Formula all the time to keep their boats running without any problems.

Many questions on using Marine Formula with Yamaha Ring Free, and what the difference is between the two products. Also, a lot of questions between the Marine Formula and Regular STA-BIL.

Had a guy come up and ask what to do, as he had a boat with 50 gallons of gas that hadn’t been used since June of 2009. Many said they used the regular STA-BIL in every tank. Had an older guy come up and tell me that he started using STA-BIL after hearing the advertisements on Paul Harvey several years ago, and has been a loyal customer of it ever since.  Another guy came by on Saturday, and said that a few weeks ago when Birmingham had a big storm, he had tried to go to several retailers to get a new bottle of STA-BIL but all of them had sold out.  Had a couple questions on StarTron, and the difference between the two.  One guy on Sunday came up to tell us that STA-BIL is the best thing since sliced bread. He just got back from his 6th tour of duty in Somalia and Afghanistan, and put STA-BIL in all of his vehicles back in the U.S., and has never had a problem starting them when he gets back.

I did two TV interviews while at the show.  The first one was on Friday, with WFN (World Fishing Network.com), and then on Saturday with Paradise Louisiana TV show, (www.paradiselouisiana.com) who claimed to talk about our product all the time on their show, and they are adding more technical segments to their show soon, and wanted to talk in more detail about Ethanol and Marine STA-BIL.

I directed a lot of people to http://www.sta-bil.com

Until next time!
