Hi Y'all,
The weekend which started early in the week with the arrival of the Japanese film crew that is filming a show that is an adventurous variety TV show called Sekai No Hatte Madde Itte Q! (translated: Riddles at the Ends of the Earth!). We did site inspections of the track, my house, and Shane Shellnut house. At my house they filmed me riding the 104+ worlds Fastest Mower. They couldn’t believe how big our places were. On Friday morning we went to stone mountain for the opening shot but couldn’t go to the top because of the wind. We went back on Sunday morning to get the shot. Daisuke Miyagawa the star of the show which is viewed by 17 to 18 million viewers raced an AP mower with me being his instructor and guide. There were 9 total in the crew with only one speaking English. Her name was Kaori and not only did she have to translate what Daisuke said but she had to figure out what I was saying also. The show will air May 2nd.
It was an experience that I will never forget and I believe I made some new friends. We should get some great TV time in Japan and when we get the DVD of the show it should have some good laughs in it for everyone. There was a good crowd at the race and with over 90 mowers there it was a great show. Bruce and his crew did a great job as always. On Saturday night we had a pig roast at my house with almost a hundred people attending. Most of the racers and their families were there along with all the crews and helpers.
With good weather, a good crowd, lots of mowers, and the Japanese film crew the weekend turned out really good.
Until next time!
